Great 4K60Hz/2K60Hz/1080p120Hz TV for gaming

This TV is almost perfect for any gamer with anything less than an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 those two can do Dolby Vision and 120Hz on higher resolutions than 1080p. My Xbox One X shines The only gaming feature that the Xbox One X supports that this TV does not support is VRR Variable Refresh Rate. Although this TV advertises TruMotion 120Hz it is referring to only its OUTPUT refresh rate despite its INPUT refresh rate being limited to 60Hz when using resolutions above 1080p. Even still even all of the TVs advertising misleading refresh rates still do have a visible improvement over those that dont brag about refresh rates: this LG has TruMotion 120 which means even when the input is limited to 60Hz the TV is outputting an extra frame between the actual input frames and it SEEMS smoother just not as smooth as if it were accepting a real 120Hz input. Not sure if it is blending the two adjacent input frames to create that extra fake one between them or if it just feels smoother to the eyes. This TV does support CEC and SimpleLink the former of which is not useful to Xbox One and the latter of which risks turning off the Xbox One whenever the TV is turned off. Despite that the Xbox One does successfully control this TV through its built in IR blaster so that is convenient. The version of WebOS on this TV is new enough that Google Stadia RIP 2023 worked beautifully over LAN cable and I even got Xbox Cloud Gaming to work by using the built in web browser and connecting a controller to the rear USB port. The HDMI inputs support Dolby Digital which can also be exported from the optical output. Also great for online streaming services which have apps for WebOS. Will not support nVidia GeForce NOW app due to older WebOS version.

The TV has the features that I needed. I had a problem with the mainboard inside the TV but a repairman come out to fix the problem at LG expense . It was a factory problem. The TV works fine now like it should .
